Complex ground conditions, strict drainage constraints, and immediate proximity to the River Hipper made this a design-intensive project. N+M integrated Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) directly into the car park substructure to treat and improve stormwater quality before discharge into the river. Collaborating closely with the contractor, we engineered varying foundation strategies combining Controlled Modulus Columns (CMCs) and traditional piling delivering an optimal solution that satisfied both structural performance and budget parameters.
